THE MESSAGE .
Greetings to you all. It is a new week and just recently, on the 1st of October 2021, Nigeria celebrated her 61st Independence anniversary, down to every campuses, University of Ibadan inclusive. It was a great experience, with mixed feelings and reactions from students, lecturers, bosses and employees. Amongst are some individuals who responded negatively and exuded some form of despondency, whilst others, despite the challenges our country Nigeria face, most Nigerians still try to maintain positivity and hope for our dear country. Now, let us not begin to lay blame on someone or something. Indeed, these past months has not been easy and has proved difficult amongst all challenging periods in the history of Nigeria. Let us not lose our cool just yet, stay focused full of hope, for that attitude continues to unite us as an indivisible nation.
The Covid-19 is still reverberating out there and has not left us, instead, it has its filthy dark claws buried deep in every faction of the world. As we continue to see light and day take turns to illuminate our world, it is important that we as Nigerians especially, continue to stay strong and together, united, to fight against the covid better than yesterday. Let us not take the monster pandemic lightly, obey social measures such as using the nose masks, getting vaccinated amongst others. We can put an end to this pandemic once and for all, but to achieve that all hands must be on deck.
One of the vital requirements for a fine result is preparation. The campus is bubbling with so much fun and intriguing events, from halls of residence down to departments and faculties. The second semester is beginning to give life to cultural nights, gyrations, press nights, among many others. At the same time, the great doors of continuous assessments and examinations are beginning to open. Should we extricate ourselves from the sumptuous fun of various programs brought to us by the semester in order to have a good result, or is it the case that we make sure not to lose ourselves in the fun? Do we invest a greater deal in our primary assignment on campus and at the same time killing off opportunities that comes with the ensuing social events? The best is to keep whatever you delve into at a moderate pace, lose yourself not in the fun, at the same time do not lose focus on academics. Take control of you and do what you do that makes you better than the former you. Prepare well and if you happen to be a believer, pray. Have a fruitful week!.
