Mr Ganiyu Oke Saliu has been inaugurated as the 13th Registrar of the University of Ibadan after Mrs Faluyi, the 12th Registrar, who spent 5 years in the office passed the baton of leadership to him.
The inauguration of the incoming Registrar happened together with the send-off ceremony organized for the outgoing Registrar in Trenchard Hall of the prestigious University.
The outgoing Registrar received words of exaltation from colleagues as she was being praised for her intellectual capacity and a repository of knowledge and administrative records.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adebowale's, through his speech which was delivered by Professor Ayoola (Deputy VC, Admin.) described Mrs Olubunmi Faluyi as "an astute administrator, a leader per excellence, and an effective manager of human and material resources."
The incoming Registrar promised to take the office of the Registrar to higher heights and uphold the traditions of the Institution. He appealed to all staff to support and cooperate with him in order to have a successful tenure.
At the Chapel of Resurrection, where the inauguration service took place, prayers were said for the success of the incoming Registrar and he was advised to put in all he does the fear of God and uphold the traditions of excellence of the University.
It should be noted that Mrs Faluyi tenure ends on Monday, 10th of April 2023, and Mr Ganiyu Oke Saliu is expected to resume his duties on Tuesday, 11th of April 2023.
