In a bid to discuss issues affecting the student populace, the University of Ibadan students' union body has called for a congress to be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at SUB Foyer by 7am.
This was made known on Wednesday in a widely circulated official release jointly signed by the SU President, Samuel Samson Tobiloba (Host), and the General Secretary of the Union, Olaniyi Sodeeq Dolapo. The union notified the student populace about the congress in accordance with Article 19 of the constitution of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union.
“In accordance with the Article XIX of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union, we write to notify you of the congress which has been scheduled as follows:
"Date: Saturday 14th, October, 2023
Venue: SUB Foyer
Time: 7:00am prompt"
The release stated that the congress will provide a platform where the students converge to discuss issues affecting the union.
“The congress offers a unique platform for all members to come together and discuss issues that affect them.”
Meanwhile, the union emphasized that only students of the University of Ibadan will be allowed at the congress.
