While Time Flies
At this point, I really need someone to pinch me. How are we caught up in the 5th week of lectures already? Dear diary, I need prescriptions on a tested and trusted dosage for balance and time management. By now, you already know that I'll be graduating from this department anytime soon; my days in Philosophy have been filled with intellectual pursuits, philosophical inquiries, and a load of academic responsibilities. This week, in particular, has been a truckload of activity as I juggled my project work, making up for classes, assignments' submission deadlines, my career pursuit (because what's school without a life after school?), and fellowship meetings (I already told you; God is my backbone).
As usual, I had prepared for the week ahead. My week began with careful planning and setting clear goals. I knew that my project was the top priority, so I spent my Monday outlining the scope of my research, identifying key literature, and crafting an enticing introduction.
Classes are however the heart of my academic journey, and this week was no different. They are one of the most enriching aspects of my education. I'm likewise glad that I was able to spend time connecting the Phenomenology classes with my project work. I meticulously refined my research question and methodology, ensuring that my ideas aligned with my academic goals. Some time was spent buried in books, searching for relevant sources and critically evaluating existing literature.
Well, I had assignments also piling up. One of the great challenges of being a final year student is the ability to balance multiple assignments at once. I tackled these tasks, embattling discipline and time management, in order to complete each assignment excellently. The process of revision in philosophy is as important as the initial writing, as it allows for the refinement of one's ideas and arguments.
Sunday, typically a day of rest, provided me with the opportunity to recharge and relax by fellowshipping with God and my friends. It's crucial for any student to take a break, giving the mind the much-needed space to unwind and gain a fresh perspective.
My life this past week was literally a search for delicate balance and personal growth. It was a demanding but ultimately rewarding experience, as I continued to refine my skills and knowledge, taking one step closer to signing out of this department.
