I chose Philosophy
Relationship status?
Very much in a relationship.
Best food?
Amala and Abula with different assorted meat.
Best color?
Anything that goes
with my mood each day. It varies
Best friend and why the person is your best friend?
Best friend? Best friend? I'd say my closest friends carry
that title. They saw the dark side of me and accepted me that way. They saw my
potentials and believed in me when I
didn't. I mean I just love them men. We grow together, build together...
Tell each other the truth even when it hurts. They are just one amazing lot.
Duke and Annie that is.
Best lecturer?
Who else but the Professor himself, Professor Afolayan
Best ancient philosopher?
Thales men... Thales...
What's
your philosophy about life?
Live your life
remembering that Death is a god also.
Worst experience on campus?
Ah! I was in 100L
then I think and I stepped on this girl's toes in classics class. She was
presenting her assignment and I commented that she should project, I think she
said something against me and the lecturer scored her bad. That day, she
threatened to beat me up. She literally mobilised people o. And I was giving
the jagaban attitude... Omoooo, fear catch me till I got to Idia o. I was
looking front, back, center. Since then, I've tried to be cautious of what I
say.
Most embarrassing moment?
I was in pry school,
primary six to be precise. I was kinda timid then, and I had this phobia to
speak in public. I was in class and I wanted to use the toilet. My stomach was
giving me a hell of a time but I just couldn't let the teacher know. I thought
if I just pass out a gas, I'd be relieved a little until break time. Well, all
I have to say is Omo.... Na shit come out o. Watery fluid poopoo... And it was
smelling! Ah! God!
Happiest moment?
I can't pin a particular happy moment as my happiest...
Every of my happy moment is memorable, I can't rate it.
If you were the president of the department for one day,
what would you do?
This question is tricky... To be sincere, a president can't
achieve much in one day. I'm talking from experience but if I were to be
President for one day and if I have the means, I'd write out proposals to
companies for internships for members of NAPS UI. God knows we need to start making practical
use of what we learn as philosophy students, not just in school but in the
society. Why can't we start with organizations?
What would you do with your philosophy degree after school?
Well, I do not know. The future seems flimsy for philosophy
students in Nigeria. Maybe I'd use my certificate to work in a law firm... or
maybe it would just be in my portfolio as I engage in professional courses. We
never can say.
If there is anything you want to go back in time to
change, what would that be?
For one, I would go back to when I collected the Naps
executive form to run for VP.
Shout-out to anyone?
Shout out to Bham Bham. I hope you do great as President. I
know you'd do us proud sweetheart.
Raaya
