”What we prepare for is what we shall get.” William Graham Sumner

The Executives of the department were sworn in before the inception of the new normal. They came with their manifestos and we voted them into power because we believed they were and still the best for the job no matter the circumstances. Not to forget that most of these plans were in alignment with the usual physical classes. Nobody could have imagined that a year after, everything will be totally different and that our reality will become virtual. We would like to believe however that over the course of the long break, they have come together to review their plans to accommodate this change.

The fourth week of resumption is here and we don't know how, when and where the freshers welcome will be. It should be noted that we had an interview with the NAPS President where he mentioned that there will be updates about the dues and other issues concerning NAPSITES but it's been a week now and we are still waiting. We hope their silence does not mean they are not working and it just means that they are taking their time to evaluate their thoughts before talking to NAPSITES.

Knowing that most physical activities on the campus have been restricted, what is the fate of Plato Academy and concerned NAPSITES regarding  the sporting activities we normally have in each semester? Understanding the importance of the extra and co-curricular activities to provide a wholesome learning experience, there is need for a substitute, helping students to unwind in a friendly atmosphere. Does this mean there will be no form of sporting event this semester or it will also be virtual? How effective will this be and how long can we go?

In addition to these questions burning in every concerned NAPSITES mind, payment of departmental due tops the the chart. Focusing on the first semester which a larger part of the basic dues is spent on and considering the new constraints, here are the sub questions we are dying to get convincing answers for: Will the basic dues be reduced or increased or no form of alterations will happen to it? NAPSITES are overwhelmed with so many questions and the silence is deafening. Could it they are emulating the 'First and Best'

In conclusion, we are a mouthpiece for the concerned NAPSITES trying to make sense out of this semester. It becomes really overwhelming when we don't know what our elected leaders have in store for us and have decided to leave us in  the dark like our elected representatives in the national level.
