There's this adage that says that you cannot eat your cake and have it. But here in Nigeria, the reverse is the case in our world: 'we have our cake but we cannot eat it'. Thanks to our politicians.
How can someone be deprived the access of spending his own hard earned money and resources because of an enforcedcashless policy? A policy that ended up futile and left the masses to suffer loss. An average Nigerian could not solve his problem or provide for his needs.
This cashless policy posed an obvious threat to our economy. Some people who are at vantage points have also taken advantage of it to loot the economy.
Lives have been lost, people were seen stranded, while many went hungry not out of lack of money but lack of access to their money. The federal government has declared December 31st, 2023, as the new date for this struggle but may affliction never rise again.
