STUDENTS STRUGGLE TO RESUME AS UI PICKS UP AT A FAST PACE

It is normal for students to have mixed feelings when it comes to school resumption as it could be hectic and demanding especially preparing financially and materially for survival at school, and the pressure of academic works. Students could be engulfed in the present situation of the country in terms of the increment in school levies, removal of fuel subsidy(which has caused an absurd increase in transport fare), among other difficulties that could serve as obstacles to students finding it difficult to resume.
Consequentially, it is understandable that some students are unable to afford the payment of school levies, foodstuffs and other basic necessities that require funding. These concerned students would need enough time to save up for the expenses and the bills incurred in order to survive through the section as most students combine vocations with academic work.
Taking a brief reminiscence of the past industrial strikes that had occurred due to the industrial conflict between ASUU and the government. Accordingly, the effect of these industrial strikes has brought a disruption in the educational sector. It is consequential that it should be made considerable by the university to pick up at a fast pace, seeing that a 4–year course has been turned to a 6–year course. However, these backwardness through strikes had brought a defect on the academic lives of students, not granting them the chance to graduate the exact year they ought to.
It is quite important to take note that to avoid struggling to resume, students are expected to prepare earlier enough and getting the necessary things done such as reviewing the results for the last academic section in order to have a goal for a new academic section. Students are advised to be conversant with platforms that communicate or disseminate informations as regards school resumption or activities and the important things needed for resumption.
This is really also a time to brace up and not allow defeat to stand a chance. Refresh your mindsets on your goals, study hard like never before, seek help whenever it is needed, build valuable relationships that would help in your academic progress and success, speak up when struggling with academic works, take time to do a budget so as to spend wisely and trust God for success in your academics.
