Poem

A Game Of Chance

In halls of chance where shadows dance,
Amidst the flicker of neon's trance,
There lies a game, both bold and sly,
Where fortunes soar and dreams may die.

A roll of dice, a spin of wheel,
In moments fleeting, hearts reveal,
The thrill of risk, the hope unfurled,
As destiny spins in a chaotic whirl.

In cards laid out on velvet green,
A gambler's tale, oftentimes unseen,
Where luck and skill entwine and mesh,
In whispered vows and silent flesh.

But beware, oh seeker of delight,
For in the game, there's no respite,
For fortunes won are fortunes lost,
In the relentless grip of gambler's cost.

In shadows dim, where stars align,
In the labyrinth of chance, we find,
A dance of fate, a timeless waltz,
In the echoing halls where fortune calls.

So heed the call, or turn away,
In the game of chance, there's much to say,
For in the heart of risk, we may discern,
The essence of life's eternal churn.
