Nnamdi Azikwe Hall, Ransome Kuti Hall, Faculty of Technology, and The Faculty of Social Science have qualified for the final lapse of the 2024 Jaw War competition. Following their victory against their opponents at the semi finals stage held on 17th of February, 2024 at the large lecture theatre, faculty of social science.
Featuring four rounds, Faculty of The Social Sciences had a face-off with Faculty of Arts on the topic “Globalisation at the Risk of Cultural Erosion, A Worthy Cause?”. Faculty of social science emerged winner with 68.3% over Arts' 65.3%.
Faculty of Technology and the faculty of Law debated on “ Does Formal Education Prepare Students for The Workforce in Africa?”. With Law’s 69.1%, faculty of Technology clinched victory with 69.3%.
Also, in the Hall category, Ransome Kuti Hall competed against Obafemi Awolowo Hall on the topic “Universal Basic Income is Solution to Income Inequality in Africa”. Ransome Kuti Hall garnered 65.3% over Obafemi Awolowo Hall’s 65.1%.
Alexander Brown Hall and Nnamdi Azikwe Hall had a debate on “Should Corporate Social Responsibility Be a Legal Requirement for Corporations?". Nnamdi Azikwe Hall defeated Alexander Brown Hall after they emerged with 68.1% and 60.8% respectively.
