That feeling when you know you're going back home after a long hard day.
Home where you get to have absolute peace of mind
Home where you get to be happy with people that matter in your life
Home where you get to sit in your small living room with your four siblings and parents
Sitting on the floor and telling them how your day went
You feel so relieve after sharing your experience because the comfort that comes from these loved ones is impeccable
This!
This is what a home should be like
But it shatters my heart to the deepest part of it
My home isn't the home you all envisioned it to be
From where I come from
Tragedy rather than happiness is our way of life
Our own fathers kill their children just for their selfish gains
They make promises to give us a better life
All that accompanies their promises are despair
Poverty
Rejection
And all manner of vices
Our society has gradually become a desolate one
A society where toddlers go to bed with empty stomach
A society where young teens are restricted the right to learn like every other kids
A society where youths are murdered in cold blood bath as a result of airing their opinions to their Fathers
A society where evil and avarice has become the norm of the day
That!
That's the society where I come from
Where government lay ambushes to exploit its citizens by giving them a taste of what Lucifer can't offer
These are evil ones!
Evil Rulers who are masqueraded to be the Savior we all need
But behind the costume, there lies a venomous cobra
Who is so foxy to know when to attack
These are animals disguised in the flesh of man
A Lioness that merge her power together with the Hyena to kill her cubs only to satisfy her stomach
Yes!
This is my home
This is my society
This is my Nigeria
This is our Nigeria
