Thoughts of
the possibility of flames of fire sitting conveniently in the heart of a water
fall is quite unimaginable. Just like
the “door to hell” that is located in the
desert of Northern Turkmenistan, in an isolated country here on earth, there is
a part of the United States of America that houses a water fall which emits an
always-flickering and burning flammable gas that has been in existence since
time immemorial and according to research, would continue to produce this gas
until the end of time.
The eternal
flame fall is located in Chestnut Ridge Park in New York. This natural
phenomenon has attracted tourists in droves, as well as other people who try to
satisfy their curiosity about seeing an actual fire, living under tones of
water without going off.
Scientists
have tried to explain the cause of the natural gas that is produced under this
fall and how it catches fire on its own without anyone lighting it. However, it
is quite unfortunate that no solid scientific thesis has been able to supply
convincing answers to the fire-under-water mystery. Hence, it’s source still remains unknown
until date.
