October 13, 2021 would surely be a day to remember for a lot of UI students. As part of his Campus Tour tagged "JOORPARTY6", multiple award winning Nigerian Disc Jockey, Ayorinde Kehinde Okiki, popularly known as Dj Kaywise made an appearance at The Alumni Hall UI. The event was hosted by Dj Kaywise entertainment in collaboration with JOOR, Create Ng and ShotByThai.
The event which is aimed at discovering and grooming promising talents in Nigeria would provide a platform for rising stars to perform and showcase their talents where a number of dignitaries and prominent artistes would be able to witness.
While Dj Kaywise was quite the sensation on his own with his beautiful and energetic mixtapes and beats, the event was made even more memorable by the performance of other artistes including Zlatan and the much loved Ruger whose EP “Pandemic" made waves during the past one year.
Winner of the UISU performing artiste of the year, Akano Ayomide, popularly known as Achezy also got to perform his song with 6th Quan "The Garden" at the event. The event was definitely a success seeing that the Alumni Hall was filled to the brim with very excited students who were not disappointed. A lot of students are looking forward to a similar event with even more artistes next year.
