The Executives of National Association of Philosophy Students (NAPS) organised freshers’ weekend to welcome “freshmen” of the department
The yearly departmental freshers’ welcome was graced by students of Philosophy across all levels. The event, which took place at the SUB pitch featured some board games and football. Games like chess, game of card, checkers and Ludo were available during the event.
The talking point of the day was the freshers’ welcome football match where the Plato boys in green easily put three past the freshmen.
There were complaints of fatigue from both the freshmen and the staylites players at halftime, with most of them alluding it to the scorching sun.
Due to the numerous complaints, the referee, when asking the departmental coach if he could reduce the duration of the second half to twenty minutes; the coach declined, stating that those are the kind of conditions the Plato boys will mostly be playing in during the oncoming SEALS Cup.
The second half of the game saw the coach telling some of his players to mix with the freshers. Despite this, the freshmen’s team could not grab any goal despite getting close from breakaways on few occasions.
