'FES & BES' ? THESE LEGENDARY ALUMNI WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND
UItes have succeeded in reconstructing the popular title of the University of Ibadan, first and best, to 'Fes & bes'. This may be due to overwhelming academic condition in the school. Anyways, the legendary alumni of UI that will be revealed subsequently will burst your bubble of sarcasm— abeg shey UI sef con small inside life.
University of Ibadan is a premier University located in the Western region of the country. The University is tagged, the best University in Nigeria by various regulatory body including the federal government of Nigeria. With so many alumni surrounded all over the country, the University has rose to become one of the greatest University in the history of Nigeria. Interestingly, the University is widely the most sort after institution in the country, making it the most competitive institution in terms of admission and academic purpose. Chinua Achebe
Before his death, Chinua Achebe was a novelist, poet and story telling author. His book "Things Fall Apart" is the most widely read book in Nigeria and West Africa. He graduated from the University of Ibadan. Until his death, he was a teacher and a novelist.
This legend has spread the Igbo culture far and wide. Over 20 million copies of Chinua Achebe books has been sold and been translated to over 50 languges. His literature is considered seminal.
Wole Soyinka
For the records, this man was the first African that won the Nobel Prize for Literature, because of his love for literature. He is a proud alumni of the University of Ibadan.
Amazingly Wole Soyinka's talents include political music as he was a cafe singer in Paris in his mid- 20s. His voice also features in a two-track album he wrote, and it is named Unlimited liability company. What a bundle of talents he is, though the layer of music is little known.
Muyiwa Ademola
Muyiwa Ademola popularly called Muyiwa Authentic, is a Nollywood Yoruba actor, film-maker, director, producer and a script writer. He started his journey in the University of Ibadan in 2006. He obtained a Bachelor of Education degree in Adult Education and Community Development.
Ademola has featured, directed and produced several other movies such as Iranse Aje , Ori, Alarinka, and his success story goes on and on.
Sean Tizzle
Morihanfen Oluwaseun Oluwabamidele better known as Sean Tizzle, is a Nigerian entertainer. The Ikeja born artist obtained his bachelor's degree in theater arts at the University of Ibadan.
Sean Tizzle initially started as a rap Artiste before he ventured into singing. His track records exceeded singing as he appeared in a 2014 released movie, The Dazzling Mirage. He has also bagged notable awards eversince.
Dr Sid
Sidney Onoriode Esiri, popularly known as Dr Sid is an entertainer, dance hall artists and a graduate from the University of Ibadan. After graduating from the Nigerian air force secondary school, Dr Sid went ahead to study dentistry and dental surgery at the famous University of Ibadan.
Turning point is the very first studio album he released in April 11, 2010, and it was handled by Don Jazzy. He released Over The Moon and several other songs afterwards.
Lepacious bose
The final legendary entertainer on the list is Bose Ogunboye well known as lepacious bose. She is a Nigerian actress, entertainer and comedienne. While in the University, she join a popular music group called Afromedia. She had a bachelor's degree in theater arts at the University of Ibadan.
Her success story also include slimming down from size 34 to 14; though, she claims she makes more money when she was fat. The point is, she is making her mark in the entertainment industry. Yay!
