The AFAS Super 4 and Inter Level Competition has once again drawn close, sparking excitement amongst AFASites as irrefutably one of the Faculty of Arts' foremost football events. The event takes place this week and is expected to hold over the length of two days.
Unlike previous years, the Competition will be following a knock-out format this year which means that failure to win will result in the elimination of the losing team from the competition.
The four departments participating in this event for the female category are the Departments of Anthropology/Archeology, European Studies, R.E.S. and CLA whilst for the male category, the departments are that of A.I.S., Classics, Anthropology/Archeology and C.L.A.
The Competition this year is also said to have reignited the football rivalry of The CLA and RES female teams as well as give a chance of redemption to the Classics Female Team and the CLA male team. It also serves as a debut competition for the RES female team.
With many anticipatory matches lined up, the Sport Department of the AFAS Executive team urges all AFASites to show their support at the upcoming matches.
