The University of Ibadan female team is set to take-on the female team of the Obafemi Awolowo University. The competition is prepared to be a double-legged game.
The friendly match will see the UI Amazons host the OAU Giantess on the 7th of April at the New Stadium. The return leg of the clash will witness the OAU ladies host UI on the 12th of April at the OAU Sports Complex.
Affirmed by the SU Sports Director, Olawale Joshua, the two matches will be in preparation for the Higher Institutions’ League which kickstarts in May later this year. Although, he confirms that it is not cocksure if there would be a female version of the competition, he however avowed that these two friendlies will further contribute to the development of female football in the University.
