The LRC Chairman, Mr. Opeyemi in a call interview that held on Tuesday, 17th of October, made it known that the ban on budget approval has been lifted as the immediate past executive council has remitted all residual funds. He noted that the activities of the current administration are fiscally in accordance to the directive of the association's LRC.

Hence, budgets are now subject to the approval of the LRC as due processes follow.

Recall that in the early hours of Monday, October 2nd, a release was made by the Level Representative Council of the National Association of Philosophy Students. This release made by the council's clerk stated that they had to suspend all budgets.

In the letter signed by the council's clerk, Felicia Ojedele, the release stated that "We regret to inform you that we can no longer welcome or approve any budget until the issue is addressed and the residual funds are remitted to NAPS’ account. We believe that it is crucial to ensure the financial stability of our department and maintain the integrity of our budgetary processes, rollover funds for the fiscal year, 2021/2022 by the immediate past administration have not been remitted and the exact amount is unknown."
