The second semester is always filled with lots of events, from Jaw War to hall and departmental gatherings. As we gear up to slay at these events, it's essential to keep in mind some important do's and don'ts to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Dress Appropriately: As we may want to dress to kill, avoid overdressing, as some clothes may not be suitable for certain events. This is not to prescribe what clothes to wear but rather prevent you from wearing a suit to the beach, which would be less comfortable and leave you feeling out of place.
Wear appropriate footwear: whether you are a dancer or you just like to stand on the stand lines, when you go to an event where you are likely to dance, wear dancing shoes so that you will be able to dance without having to remove your shoes and feel comfortable.
Eat and drink in proportion: at most events, item 7 is guaranteed, remember to do so in moderation. Eating and drinking in proportion not only prevents stomach upset but also ensures you can fully enjoy the event without any unforeseen mishaps.
Don't go alone: There are some events you should never go to alone or else you would not be able to enjoy the event. Go with a friend or your friends to make the event more fun for you. Having someone you can dance with when it's time to dance, or gist with or laugh makes an event more interesting unlike when you go there alone. You feel less comfortable and more restricted. Well, except for an overly outgoing person who could make friends right on the spot.
In all, as we have fun, let us be careful to do it in moderation.
