NAPS PRESS: Can we meet you?

ADETOMIWA: I'm Adetomiwa David, a 100-level student of philosophy University of Ibadan.

NAPS PRESS: Why the University of Ibadan? Why Philosophy?

ADETOMIWA: I chose the University of Ibadan because of its standards and records and also the best university in Nigeria. Well, philosophy chose me. I've always wanted to do law but I didn't meet the cut-off mark then I was dumped into philosophy.

NAPS PRESS: In your little time in philosophy would you say it has improved the way you think? If yes, in what ways?

ADETOMIWA: Yes, it has improved my way of viewing things, It has changed the way I think.

NAPS PRESS: How has the experience been so far? In philosophy and the university at large.

ADETOMIWA: To be honest, it has been stressful, and exhausting the pressure is real but we move on.

NAPS PRESS: Although you cannot study all the philosophers and their philosophies in your little time in philosophy, who is your favorite philosopher, and which of their theories resonate with you?

ADETOMIWA: Empedocles of Acragas. His philosophy on the primordial substance of reality
Because it conforms to one of my favorite movies.

NAPS PRESS: What branch of philosophy do you find fascinating and why?

ADETOMIWA: Logic
Because it can’t frustrate the life out of someone
And it takes a lot of focus to get it right.

NAPS PRESS: What was your first impression when you got UI? Did it meet your expectations and was it worth the 'hype' as the first and the best?

ADETOMIWA: It wasn’t worth it at first but it looks like it now.

NAPS PRESS: A lot is going on in school, in the country, and around how do you stay motivated? What motivates you?

ADETOMIWA: My family. Anytime I just look back at them. I want to make things better.

NAPS PRESS: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

ADETOMIWA: Still in school. I’m coming back for my law degree.
