The
report of the death of one of Nigeria's Veteran and iconic singer and
songwriter, Onyeka Onwenu came as a shock and surprise to Nigerians . The
singer who was born on the 31st January, 2024 lost her life in the early hours
of Tuesday, 30th July, 2024.
The
Nigerian music mogul was said to have collapsed after performing at the 80th
birthday party of Stella Okoli, the Chief Executive Officer of Emzor
Pharmaceuticals in Lagos. The 72 year old singer was rushed to Reddington
Hospital, Lagos where she was declared dead.
For
Nigerians of Generation X and the early millennial generation, Onwenu was a
