1. Minimalism or as Glamour magazine termed it ‘ Quiet Luxury’: Prices of goods are skyrocketing, so clothing items are getting more expensive on a daily and tailors are increasing their prices. They predict people will go for clothes that are timely and long lasting. To stay in trend, as you shop this year think classy, minimalist, elegant, black, white, grey as opposed to loud and extravagant.
2. Thrift: There was a time wearing second hand fashion was a thing people hid, but these days they are in rave and they might just remain so in 2024. There might also be a revival of 1920’s and 30’s vintage pieces. Oops, it looks like prices of thrift goods will continue to increase.
3. Glamour also predicts the girlies will go girlier this year. Sequins, bows, ribbons were popular pieces on the recent runway shows, they are bound to be popular this year. It’s time to bring out the little girl in you, you know you want to.
4. 2024 could pan out to be the year of convenience in women fashion - micro heels/ kitten heels are the next trendy shoes in the block. Wedge shoes made a comeback last year, we might be saying goodbye to high heels very soon. Also, big bags that contain all day to day essentials will be in trend.
