In a resolute address at the 31st convocation ceremony of the Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB), President Bola Tinubu reiterated his administration’s dedication to the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’

The President, represented by the Minister of State for Education, Hon. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, emphasized the need for transformative programs to elevate service delivery and propel rapid advancements in the education sector.

Addressing the 3,574 graduands at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building in Abeokuta last Saturday, President Tinubu affirmed his government’s commitment to engaging with key stakeholders in the education sector.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration to share ideas and provide essential support for the agricultural sector.
He also urged university-based unions to view themselves as partners in progress with the government.

He acknowledged the significance of their role, stating, ”Government alone cannot manage the education system without the support of all the university unions.”

The President cautioned against strikes, urging unions to avoid any disruptions that could hinder the academic system.
Highlighting the pivotal role of a smooth academic system, he asserted that achieving parity with global education standards becomes feasible when the system operates seamlessly.

President Tinubu’s address underscores a strategic vision for educational advancement and collaboration with stakeholders to achieve the goals set out in the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’
