I'm sure you are aware that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and doctors advise that it should not be skipped. But for one reason or the other, people especially students skip their breakfast even when going for an exam. I will be giving youtips on how to make quick and healthy breakfast as a student.
Oat and fruits
Oats is incredibly one of the healthiest whole grains that contains a lot of vitamins, minerals, anti oxidant and has a whole lot of other healthy benefits. They are rich in a specific type of fiber called beta-glucan. This fiber is known to lower bad level of cholestrol(just to mention a few). It is also one of the easiest and quickest meals to make. There are a thousand and one things you can do with oats but I bring you interesting ways to spice up your cooked oats which some call porridge. You being a student or being in school doesn’t mean your food should be boring or unhealthy. It is good for breakfast and dinner a lot of people looking for the easiest food to make for breakfast and dinner. Well here is one food to try.
Apples, bananas, pear, coconut, papaya
I narrowed the fruits to four. Of course there are a lot of fruits you can add to your oats, you can combine two or more fruits but as students, we might be able to do because they are accessible. Cook the oats thetraditional way, add your preferred fruit.
Oat and nuts
Do you know that you can spice up your oats with nuts that you know as groundnut and peanuts? Cook the oats the traditional way, add sweetener of your choice, milk and then a good amount of your preferred nuts and you are good to go.
For my folks that are not staying in hostel and ownrefrigerator, this is for you.
Overnight oat
Making over night oat is different from the traditional way of making oats but with the same ingredients. To make over night oats, you need a jar but your preferred liquid milk, add a good amount of oats, stir to make sure the oats is soaked in the milk braise this is what will cook the oat. Add a sweetener of choice, you can add peanut butter. Then add fruitsand or nuts are your toppings cover it and keep in the fridge over night. Grab it when you are ready to eat your breakfast.
Note: you don’t have to cook it again the magic has been done. This is one of the easiest and quickestways to make oats. No need to worry about lighting a Stove or gas as the case may be. It is ready to be eaten
